2026 Adelaide Meditation Festival

Updated

The Adelaide Sri Chinmoy Centre has been active in South Australia and offering free meditation classes since 1976. To celebrate our 50th anniversary, and thank everyone who has been to any of our classes, we are holding the 2026 Adelaide Meditation Festival at the Payneham Library (2 Turner St, Felixstow).

The festival will run over seven consecutive evenings from 7pm – 8:30pm on:

Monday 27 April
Tuesday 28 April
Wednesday 29 April
Thursday 30 April
Friday 1 May
Saturday 2 May
Sunday 3 May

We are excited to welcome Prachar Stegemann back for this very special event. In 2024, he visited over 60 countries to give classes in 132 cities, including Adelaide. He has given thousands of meditation classes all over the world.

Prachar has a weekly podcast called Meditation Matters.

Check out Meditation Matters: with over 500 episodes available there is sure to be something which inspires you.

The meditation classes at Payneham will include stories, discussion, music, guided meditation and silent meditation. With seven classes over seven straight nights, this immersive course will deliver solid support for you to develop your own practice of meditation. As the set of classes are designed to follow on, most benefit will be gained if you can attend from the start on Monday evening if possible.

And whether you are a beginner, have been to some of our classes before or are already meditating regularly, you will find the experience of group meditation compelling and powerful. This is something you need to experience in person to truly appreciate, so we look forward to meeting you at the festival!
